Comeback with Lecture Series
17 April 2023 — The College of Social Sciences (CSS) makes a comeback with lecture series after the two-week break (the scheduled reading break from 28 March to 2 April, and Holy Week). The CSS hosted and organized two lectures the past week, starting with the DHPH-organized public lecture featuring Dr. Ariel C. Lopez of the Asian Studies Center with the research titled, “Treaties and indigenous interests in Mindanao and Sulawesi, c. 1700 to 1900“. This lecture was held on 12 April, Wednesday from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm at the College of Social Sciences AVR.
The second lecture featured Dr. Erlinda Castro-Palaganas and her professorial chair lecture from a grant received in AY 2007-2008. The lecture is titled, “The ‘Glass Ceiling’ Phenomenon and the Women Entrepreneurs in Cordillera” and was delivered last Saturday, 15 April 2023 at the CSS-AVR.
