ECONOMICS
Economics integrates a social science perspective that puts forth a holistic and humanistic, rather than a merely technical view of economic issues. It intends to produce graduates who possess fundamental skills in economic analysis. The program will cultivate a general familiarity with the political, social and cultural context of economic behavior.

- Comprehend the elements and relationships that define economic behavior at the individual and societal levels;
- Apply economic theories and methods to analyze economic and social issues;
- Describe the historical, political, institutional, social, or cultural aspects of economic behavior;
- Evaluate the outcomes of policy interventions that aim to address particular social and economic objectives; and
- Implement research that contributes to a deeper understanding of economic problems at the local, regional, or national level.
POLITICAL SCIENCE
Political Science teaches you both the questions that political scientists ask in their attempt to understand politics and the manner of asking them. It develops independent and critical thinking on the appreciation of concepts to current political events.

- Discuss distinguishing concepts, perspectives, and methods of political science;
- Implement research on relevant questions in various fields of political science;
- Evaluate the implications of political processes and their consequences on society; and
- Apply their knowledge of concepts and theories in proposing interventions to address issues affecting society, particularly the dis-empowered and marginalized groups.
