113th Baguio Day Anniversary Lectures
The University of the Philippines Baguio celebrates the charter anniversary of the City of Baguio by participating in the 113th Baguio Day Anniversary Lectures on 9 September 2022, Friday.
The Republic Act No. 6710 of the Philippine Constitution declares 1 September as Baguio Charter Day and a Special Non-working Holiday in the city. Baguio City will be hosting and preparing a series of activities and events to celebrate the occasion.
With the theme, “113th Baguio Charter Day: Getting Ready for the Future”, the College of Social Sciences is proud to host the 113th Baguio Day Anniversary Lectures. Following the 112th Baguio Day Anniversary Lectures, where the roster of speakers spoke about the history and rich culture of the people of Baguio, this year’s lectures will tackle issues as well as concepts on safety, biodiversity, and culture–topics which surround Baguio of today and its implications to the city’s future.
The Anniversary Lectures will feature faculty members from the Colleges of Science and Social Sciences in the University of the Philippines Baguio. The Lectures will also include Baguio City’s Planning Development Coordinator, Ar. Donna R. Tabangin in the speaker roster.
